Posada Esperanza Staff

Patti     Patti McCabe

started working at Casa Marianella in 1999 as a full-time volunteer. In the following years she worked as Assistant Director of Casa, and then, as Posada opened its doors, she became Director of Posada Esperanza. She will be going into her fourth year in this capacity.

Wendy     Wendy Thomas

is an avid Minnesota Twins fan who dearly misses the proximity of her Minnesota home to the Twins playing ground. She graduated from the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University in 2005 with a degree in Spanish and Latino/Latin American Studies. This will be her second year with the organization but her first at Posada Esperanza. She is very excited to learn about the other half of the organization and is looking forward to developing an exercise program at the house this year.

Sarah     Sarah Rarick

graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a adegree in Sustainable Urban Development.  After working in the business/sales field for several years, she spent nine months traveling and volunteerring throughout Central America.  She moved to Austin last spring to accomplish three things:  escape the cold weather up north, get involved in direct service, and become a seasoned salsa and funk dancer.

Amber     Amber Hunter

graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in Theology & International Service. She spent six months in Central Mexico working at Esperanza Viva Orphanage, discovering a passion for direct services with Latin American folks. Amber is most excited to journey alongside the families at Posada Esperanza, listening to their stories, advocating with them, and making some art in the coming year.
