Thank you for your interest in donating new or gently-used goods! Please be sure to read the instructions below to ensure your items are best utilized. We have two separate locations that accept different items.

Adult House Wish List

At the Adult House we are always looking for the following items for our residents. They can be dropped at 821 Gunter St. every day from 8am-8pm.

  • Gently-used Men’s clothing and new undergarments
  • Men’s footwear: Tennis shoes, work boots, shower sandals, and socks
  • Socks!
  • New Toiletries: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, razors, soap, cold medicine
  • Food: Fresh fruit, milk, eggs
  • Bicycles in good condition
  • Bike accessories: lights, locks
  • Small furniture like side tables and chairs
  • Backpacks and Suitcases in good condition

We accept the following items on an as-needed basis due to limited space. Please call us in advance at (512) 385-5571 to ask if the item you would like to donate is needed at this time. Thank you for your generosity and understanding!

  • Linens: Gently-used pillows, twin bed sheets, blankets, bath towels
  • Kitchen Items: Plates & Silverware, pots and pans, can openers
  • Soccer balls and Basketballs
  • In the winter: Jackets, coats, sweaters, hats, and gloves

Posada Esperanza Wish List

Posada Esperanza, our shelter for women and children, always welcomes donations of women and children’s clothing and household items. To arrange a donation and ask about our currents needs, please contact us at

To reinforce good boundaries with our curious kiddos, we ask that donors please leave everything in their car and come into the office to ask a staff person for help in bringing your generous gifts inside.

  • Spanish and English children’s books: from first readers to middle school level
  • Coloring books
  • Crayons, Markers, Paint, Colored pencils, Other craft supplies
  • Board games, puzzles, etc.
  • Pots and pans
  • Spoons, forks, sharp knives, etc.
  • Plastic dishes and cups
  • Diapers (size 4 or 5) and wipes
  • Sanitary napkins
  • Household cleaning supplies
  • Storage tubs
  • Laundry detergent
  • Supportive inserts for work shoes
  • Linens: towels, bed sheets, curtains, shower curtains
  • HEB and Walmart gift cards (in either $10 or $25 denominations)
  • Small white boards and Expo markers for homework time
  • An injera maker
  • Blankets
  • Tarps and bungee cords
  • A new bodega or other storage space
  • Strollers:  (newborn and toddler)
  • Bins for dirty diapers
  • Used laptops, DVDs and CD-ROM computer games
  • Vacuums
  • Manual pencil sharpeners not with batteries

Please keep in mind that we are a small facility with limited storage space and are only available to accept donations that meet our greatest needs at the time.
