Casa Marianella has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season.
A word from our Co-Executive Directors, Jennifer Long and Patti McCabe:
“With your help, we continue to be one of the few shelters serving asylum seekers in the US. There is a huge need for more capacity. A year ago we announced our intention to build two large houses to increase Casa’s bed space. We’re happy to report that those plans continue. Covid has slowed us down, but we continue to pursue this goal.”

Women on the Border
Women on the Border supports movements to reclaim and construct human dignity and justice for all. Each year they raise money to purchase toys, clothing and housewares at holiday time for Posada Esperanza of Casa Marianella. We couldn’t be more thankful!

Conscious Coven is a monthly skillshare curated from queer and indigenous perspectives to promote collective healing and wellness. They are hosting a virtual gathering on the 29th of December to nourish your dreamscapes and tap into the ancestral, cosmic currents. Proceeds to benefit Casa Marianella. Lazarus Brewing hosted a “12 days of Christmas” event to partially benefit Casa Marianella, selling delicious beer and coffee, matching up to $2,500 raised!

A Grateful Year
Thank you to all of our donors near and far for your care this season – for the forgotten people coming to our country to seek protection.
